Quartier Vanier

 

Since 1985, the Quartier Vanier Merchants Association (BIA) has brought together merchants, professionals and manufactures who are dedicated to the promotion and development of Vanier.

  

Our not-for-profit association has a mandate is to ensure our historic downtown commercial district is attractive, has a variety of services and products, and continues to improve economic development for our existing and new merchants.

 

The BIA is administered by 9 elected volunteer Board Members (8 local business people and 1 local Councilor).  We also employ an Executive Director, an Operations Manager, a Communications & Events Manger and a Social Media/ Web Coordinator.
FUNDING

Every commercially zoned property within our boundaries contributes to QV BIA’s budget.  The levy is expressed as a percentage of a building assessment and taxes.

WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE BIA

QV Merchant Association (BIA) members are both property owners in our “Business Improvement Areas” and their tenants.

MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES
  • Attendance at BIA meetings.
  • Eligibility to vote on BIA related issues  (i.e. the Annual Budget and selections to the Board)
