Gala 2009
This year the Quartier Vanier teamed up with seven of our best local restaurants, the Capital Swing Band conducted by Stanley Clark, and the Ottawa Little Theatre to honour business leaders and outstanding residents.
We also unveiled our new video to promote the Quartier and received great feedback!
The event was a great success and we are overwhelmed by your support. The participation from our members, residents, and volunteers came together to show what vibrant spirit the Vanier community holds.
Special thanks to our 2009 QV Chefs:
Hagop Dokmajian, Agop's Bakery – 304 McArthur Ave
Andre Cloutier, Arturo's Market – 49 Beechwood Ave
William Ross, Da Bombe Desserts & Fine Food – 176 Beechwood Ave

A Valentine for Vanier
We released our contribution to the Winterlude Festival and Valentine's Day celebrations this February. Vanier wore its heart on its sleeve in the form of an eight-foot heartshaped sculpture at the corner of North River Road and Montreal Road by the Cummings Bridge. Thanks to everyone who bundled up to watch the unveiling! The statue may have melted, but Vanier's heart is still standing tall!

Quartier Outdoor Market
Come and enjoy the flavours of the Quartier Outdoor Market now from August 8 until October 17. The market will return to the corner of Montréal Road and Hannah Street in the Scotiabank parking lot. We hope that this year's market will be bigger, better, and even more memorable than the last. Our market roster is being updated as we expand and is currently available through our website at: quartiervanierbia.com/market.html.
We are planning to run our market in tandem with a series of art showcases, so keep your eyes and ears open!!

McArthur Clean Sweep
This is it folks. Broom N' Groom comes to McArthur on May 15th for the “McArthur Clean Sweep!” We are asking that our merchants from Montreal Road and Beechwood Ave take out their brooms and get ready for Vanier to sweep with synergy. We want all three of our beautiful streets to have their merchants spring cleaning in unison. We will be supplying the brooms for McArthur, now... Ready! Set! Groom!
